The Light Returns

To Begin Again on Winter Solstice

New Beginnings: I am going to begin to post original writing and art here on Substack; starting here and now. I hope everyone was able to make the time to notice the Winter Solstice yesterday. The longest night has occurred. The Light is returning. Remember that the Sun is a Beloved Lover; a faithful and constant eternal source of Golden Light and Loving Kindness. Our lives are secure and abundant because the source of our lives is clear and accessible in the material reality of Nature. It is our existential task and responsibility to create meaning and live within that meaning. We are completely responsible ( or at least co-responsible) for the beliefs and experiences that we live within. Therefore, I declare that “The Light of the Sun is Within US!”

About the Art: This original image composition was created in Jan 2024 using handmade Beautful Fig (TM) inks and rubber stamps designed by other artists. Lettering and tiny ink outlines are my own handwriting. I created “Golden Wave” ink with Tumeric & 90% Rubbing alcohol, and “blacker than black”oak gall ink for my Beautiful Fig (TM) organic inks project. The green is from alcohol markers. I learned about these ink recipes from the 2018 “Make Ink” book by Jason Logan. The Images are from three rubber stamp companies. The beautiful sun face is from Leavenworth Jackson and the sunflowers, leaves and stems are from Noolibird and the bee image started out as a Stampin’Up image that I completely overdrew and created my own wings for.
